How much time could we save and how much more could we accomplish if we could satisfy those one or two clients who are always nagging us about what’s going on with their case?
It doesn’t always work but I like to send a short email explaining the latest and then providing them with a link to the court’s website where they can stay updated. Most courts have an online case docketing system with a list of everything that’s been filed in the case, upcoming events, etc.
It’s all there and they can check it out 18 times a day if they want.

Bookmark the page and create a folder for your cases so you can easily stay up to date on your cases as well.

Hi, my name is Andy and I am an attorney from Ohio who works in the areas of employment law, landlord tenant law, and estate planning. I also maintain www.fmla-law.com. I am interested in technology and how it can be used to make the practice of law more efficient and enjoyable. I am writing this blog mainly for the solo practitioner and small firm. Enjoy and feel free to provide any comments.
